Trees growing in the middle of the street -- a relatively common sight in Cochabamba.

Ad encouraging voters to participate in the new system of judicial elections -- a very controversial topic.

And here's the opposition's ad. "Reject the deception," it says, encouraging voters not to be fooled into thinking that judicial elections are an exercise in democracy.

Polluted as it is, the Rio Rocha, Cochabamba's main waterway, still has its charm. One day I'd like to help to clean it up.
